A friend of mine sent me this picture. They were given to her.

Wow lucky girl! I've never seen the tiny child one. It's adorable.

SCORE!

Yes, I've seen that small one. There is one on my CL right now for $85 - and probably worth it since I've seen them go on eBay for twice that much...

...not to mention that it appears to be in pristine condition and has the original box...

She told me the big one is dated: June 18, 1948 and the little child's machine is 1936.

Wow! Especially the child's version--never seen one like that before. Kind of reminds me of a SIL buying me a Featherweight in pristine condition for $10 at a yard sale...

The proud owner of these new babies, took a "how to clean your Featherweight" class at a local quilt shop a few days ago. She said she didn't realize there were so many holes to oil

What a trip down memory lane. The "big" singer is exactly like my mom's purchased in 1948 and used to make all my dresses. I still have my favorite dress from Kindergarten, including the patch near the hem when I got a it over zealous with the scissors. I learned to sew on that machine and it is displayed in my sewing classroom. She still purrs along like a kitten. It is my treasure.
