Finally purchased the above pattern. I have alot of success with knits and wonder if this pattern could be used for them without doing a revamp?

If not, anyone know of a simple shift pattern for knits that could be worn by a pear shape under a blazer jacket?

As long as your knit doesn't get all wonky from the darts, you should be fine. You might end up taking it in, depending on how much stretch your knit has--a lot of people go down one size when they substitute knits.

The only glitch I see, is that this dress calls for a lining which can complicate things when using a knit.
You have to find a lining that matches the stretch of the knit, or eliminate the lining and use bindings.
McCalls 6355 is a simple knit dress, but not A-line. Maybe you can add the flare of the A-line from your pattern to it.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.
