I am looking for a sewing bag but really dont like the fabrics used for the commercial one because, well, i'm a dude. The closest i can find is this http://m.joann.com/basic-rolling-sewing-machine-tote/zprd_11503661a/

I really need a pattern so i can use my manly cordura and make one. Does anyone know of a good one? Please help me escape the flowers.

Ah - how about the right piece of rolling manly luggage/laptop bag, etc?

Easier than doing HAND stitches for the rolling wheels????

Can't help with a pattern, sorry, but I have a friend who stitched motorcycle patches on his rolling tote to "manify" it (his word!)

Check with machine dealers. They often have them in solid colors.

The cases have a lot of hard plastic in them plus the rolling wheels, pull out handle etc. It would be very hard to make the same type of thing yourself and get the same type of protection for a machine that the ready made ones have.

Try your local Sew & Vac store. Ours has many "manly" styles that would do you well. You could use your cordura for something else. You really need protection on a rolling sewing tote.

I just found this site with a pattern for a sewing machine tote. You could use your cordura fabric to make it. The pattern quoted was 12.99. It is not with wheels, though.

* www.henriettashandbags.com for patterns
* ebags for many choices
* the Tuesday Morning store often has discounted cases
* re-think other carrying cases that may fit--have seen bowling ball
bags and sturdy backpacks with wheels used--you can always add
extra padding

Depending on the size of your sewing machine Home Depot has a rolling tool cart made by Husky that would work. Is well built and sturdy and under $50.00. Being a tool cart of course it is very manly.

Here's the web address. Been a while since I looked, it's $60.00.

Not a pattern, but you could check out Bluefig or Tutto bags. Both offer solid colors and a few different sizes and styles.
