Hi there i was wondering if anyone might be able to help.
My friend has asked my mum to make a wedding dress which she is more than happy to do. She was looking for something along these lines https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/v/376076_10201022089017057_1240382260_n.jpg?oh=5ea2bfd68ad2b829309582aa59bce718&oe=5177B424&__gda__=1366793819_4847b56d7c9fafb29931271c3ac92b3f

She wants it to be knee length, very fitted with a collar like the one in the second picture. Any pattern suggestions would be great

The links aren't working for me. Have you tried looking at patterns for prom dresses and more casual wear?

Vogue 2931 for the bottom half: http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v2931-products-5478.php?page_id=861

Simplicity 8091 for the neckline http://www.etsy.com/listing/66741646/high-neck-modest-wedding-gown-1960s

The second one is vintage, obviously, so you'd need to do some hunting around to find it. I'd be looking for anything 60s or 70s, because I'd imagine you'd have a hard time finding anything modern that covers up so much ;-) But at the very least something like that would give you an idea of what the pattern pieces will look like for you to either Frankenpattern or draft your own.

Edited to add: I found the above by looking in Google Images for 'sewing pattern dress fishtail' and the second by searching for 'modest wedding dress sewing pattern'. Google's great when you know what you're looking for ;-)

While it doesn't have the high neckline, M6460 could be a good base pattern to work from:

And V2931, as suggested above by Dragonzflame, is a close match for the fishtale skirt:
