I think this is in the right place, but apologies if it's not.
I'm currently using an adjustoform, but I find it difficult to work with sometimes, (and the adjusting wheels on the front and back bust don't work preoperly anymore), so I'm looking at getting a more solid form. I know polystyrene forms are available cheaply, but I'm wondering if it's possible to press a garment on the form, or would the polystyrene melt? How durable would they be with the pins?
I'm also wondering what is inside the more expensive dress forms (Kennett and Lindsell, Wolf etc). Are they polystyrene too, or are they something else? Would it be worth investing in one of these rather than a polystyrene one?
