I found the fabric I want to use, but they didn't have the color. Figured I could find it on the stores websit (hancock) but all they had were garish patterns. Joann only has a few colors and what I need is ivory. I can't find anything called "baby silk" on any of the online fabrics stores like voguefabric or even google so I'm wondering if it goes by another name or if there's somewhere else I could look?

I just bought Baby Silk last week at Hancock's. I bought it without really knowing what it is either. They had a white bolt on the dot sale table for half price. It says Baby Silk and 100% polyester. It's very soft and drapey and has a bit of a sheen. Reminds me a bit of crepe de chine but maybe lighter weight. Anyway, I've already washed and dried it and it came out perfect. I bought it because the price was great and I thought it would work great for blouses or lining. Anyway, I like it.

Here's some ivory that came up when I did a quick search for ivory baby silk. It's 100% polyester like I just bought. I did not give mine any special treatment when washing and drying it so don't be afraid to do the same.

ETA:
Just dawned on me, I should've wrote it's just like silk only it's fake. Or for a better word, faux. It's very silky fabric.

thank you! I actually just found it at Joann, it only came up when I searched it as one word. Found just what I needed, thanks so much!
