I just got an e-mail from Sears Parts Direct advertising their dedication to service, parts of quality , new parts becoming available this year. I have not had the best luck with Sears Parts for my Kenmores. Has anyone bought from them recently? Is their service better as far as sewing machine parts are concerned ? Customer reps know about Kenmore sewing machines ... the last 2 times I tried to order the person did not know about Kenmore sewing machines. ...
So what do you think? I wonder if this e-mail is to get some of us to try once again to order direct from Sears for our sm. ...

i have used the sears parts web site several time and had no problem at all. this is my go to site for my vintage kenmore. in fact, i was worried that some part may not be available 'down the road' and ordered things that i thought may break/wear out.

That is so interesting. I went to see if they had anything for my 30 year old Kenmore-they didn't have much but they did have some parts. Wow I never would have guessed that.
