What do these symbols mean?

I'm sewing my first Neuemode pattern and there are symbols I don't understand.

The instruction sheet says the "Z" means "cut out paper pattern piece in number indicated". I don't see where the number is indicated.

I couldn't find an explanation for what the "V" means.

If anyone knows what the symbols mean, please help me!

You can write and ask them at info@neuemode.com.

I don't know, but do you need to know? Can you just proceed based on your knowledge of other patterns?

I can see pattern piece numbers (1 and 2). If it were one of the Big 4, I'd expect to see "Bodice Front" or "Bodice Back" in big print on the pattern piece. Is it possible that Z and V are "codes" for a particular part of the pattern?

Ah, ha! Instructions are downloadable here. I don't see the instruction you referred to. However, I would interpret "cut out paper pattern piece in number indicated" as something like "cut out the paper pattern piece in the size you want".

ETA: The instructions I linked to above state that seam allowances and hem allowances are not included in the pattern; something rather important to keep in mind.

That's exactly what I decided to do. I need to stop sweating the small stuff!

It seems to me that the letters are the pattern pieces. Z is the back (Rückenteil) and you cut it 2 times. V is the front (Vorderteil) and you cut 1.
Futter means lining. I can just barely read this on my computer.
