I'm new to posting and don't know if this is allowed. If so, please delete w/ my apology.
This may be too late for most but there is an episode on a Jpn TV station (NHK World-watch on your computer) that takes apart a sewing machine (Juki F600) to expose it's various components: want to see how the thread cutter or bobbin works? Unfortunately, they do not show the box feed mechanism.
Some industrial machines w/ specialized functions were also shown. A machine that sews buttons and shanks on coats? Pockets on denim jeans? And the straight stitch speed! Too fast for me.
It's part of a series called "Barasu (to expose)". It's broadcast several times on Friday (Japan time). The last broadcast of this episode is 4:30pm (East Coast Time).
I have no affiliation w/the show, network or Juki.
