I'm having a rough day here on the family front... it's a *very* heartbreaking and depressing day over some events with one of my grandkids... so what do I do????

I went into my sewing nest and I rearranged my machines in their space just a bit... dusted the area... tidied it all up.... (my brain is sooooo not "there" for sewing today - just hurting too much) ... but I turned them both on... love the chime of the EG... and at least sitting there with the two machines all lit up was enough to keep me from crying today.

I fired up my Elna Press and was going to prep some fabric for embroidery.. but nah... just couldn't get into it.

I have to pick my one granddaughter up from school in just a bit... but as soon as I get her, I think I'll head off to the quilting store to get some batting to start the Anita Goodesign Tree of Life tonight.

After her parents pick her up, I think it's gonna be a Kitchen Sink (its a white wine) evening.

I think I'd absolutely fall apart today if I didn't have something to putter on.

I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time. A little quality time around a hobby that makes us so happy is always good for the soul. Our sewing space is a place where we create and fix things when life seems to be falling apart. Here's a virtual hug. But I find wrapping myself in comfy knit yardage of fabric is also like a nice hug.

Oh I have done that too... sometimes just sitting at the sm & winding bobbins... very comforting...
My sister gets comfort out of having her iron on & steam....
Hope this evening is better.....
Tonight is pizza & beer.... it has been a rough few weeks I think we deserve it!

Hugs from me too

I thought last year was bad enough, but this year is just getting worse every time I turn around.

Can we cancel it and start a new one please.
