Hi there!

I have solved several problems, one at a time (with a new muslin each time) and have just created a new problem in my latest muslin that I did not have before.

Circumference-wise, the waist fits just a bit snugly and I suspect made up in a woven with some stretch, it would be just right. I can sit comfortably and the hips don't feel tight, which I think is odd since these wrinkles suggest I don't have enough room between the space above my butt to my waist. The front of the pants looks terrific with no pulling or wrinkles or bagging anywhere.

However -- there's obviously something wrong! Do you think I need to let out some room in the center back seam? Do wrinkles usually point down to the source of the problem or up to the source? Maybe add a small wedge of space somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any sage advice.

Peggy Sagers' last webcast shows pant problems such as yours. Toward the end of the webcast.

To me, it looks like you need to slash across the back, just above the fullest part of your hip and spread, tapering to nothing at the side seams. I believe that will drop your crotch length about 1/2" and not look so tight.

Just watched the video and I think you're right.

I may have gotten a little too aggressive on the last version when I took a tuck above the hip :)

Thanks! Back to the drawing board.
