This cute little number would be quite flattering on a variety of body types - the wide shoulders may balance out the hips and tum.

I'm at a loss at where to start for a DD FBA. I've never sewn such long, curved darts before in any garment. I imagine lengthening the darts would come into play?

I would start by tracing the pattern from the waist up and doing my standard FBA. I think it is easier to get the top of a dress fitted (I sometimes even make a top muslin on unusually fitted dresses) and then do what I need to make the skirt match. I would also consider boxing the dart and moving it that way depending on your other fitting issues. It is a really cute and flattering dress. I am looking forward to hearing how it goes.
