So awesome that you took part in it, I'm sure you're much stronger than you think! It was such a beautiful weekend for being outside.

If you're interested, I'm contemplating running a 10-miler in October and could use some company....

Yay! Good job!

When I was 11 years old (MANY years ago) I did a 20 mile March of Dimes Walk. My arches collapsed and I couldn't walk for several days afterwards. The doctor told my Mom that I should never, ever walk so far again because I have "weak", flat feet.

At 46 I ran my first 1/2 Marathon in 2:20 on those flat feet and never had any problem at all. Glad I ignored that doctor's "advice"

Good for you!

We are much older than you, do not do long walks like this, but when we have a strenuous day, we take a Tylenol break, which seem to be more and more frequent.... LOL.

I'm actually doing alright for the moment! Got out of bed and walking around, although bending down is taking quite a bit of effort. xD;;

Minggiddylooloo, running isn't QUITE my thing...but I'd be happy to walk with you if you want to do training walks! XDD

The weather WAS a perfect blessing though. I got a little burned on my thighs, but altogether it was balmy and breezy and not nearly as hot as May can be in DC!

Lisalu, congratulations on beating your doc's advice; what a great accomplishment!!

The oldest walker this weekend was 86....WOW! I heard a walker last year of 89 years raised the money, walked a 1/4 mile, and got picked up by the van. Even that is a great accomplishment! No matter how far you walked (the designated distance was 39.3 miles, a marathon and a half) the camaraderie and company here was incredible. I'm so proud that I was able to make it through all of it xD <3 Maybe I'm crazy, but I even signed up to do it again next year!!

Thank you everyone!!
