Why am I lusting after the deal on Amazon today for the Singer 9960 for $249.99. It would make a great class and back up machine. It's a great machine for the money. I thought a few times of calling home to make my case to hubby and then feel ridiculous for something I have no real need for. $249.99 would buy a lot of stonehenge. But Mother's Day is coming up and I'm not going to make it to the sewing show in town. Not like I'm asking for a $6K Pfaff or something lol.

One of the few times it's GOOD when something sells out!

I HATE temptations like that! You did it though Wolf!

Now you can feel perfectly fine getting some new Stonehenge fabric

I am going to be on a spending freeze for a L O N G time.....2 new machines...UGGGG!

At least I have TONS of fabric to use!

I caved I couldn't resist getting this deal on the Singer! I've bought 2 new sewing machines in the last 2 weeks...YIKES!!! Last week I ordered a new Janome 6600 from my dealer that was on sales already AND had an additional 20% off on top of that!!

At least I sold a machine to buy the Janome...LOL. Can't wait for them both to arrive!!

Well no not like I get that amount of money to spend on fabric, he knows I have plenty of that. If I had caught him in a good mood and told him how good a deal this was he might have said oh go ahead. But just as well. I can't really buy stuff right now I can't really afford it especially if I don't really need it. We have some medical and dental bills hanging over us so they have to be paid first.

I had the same thoughts when I got an e-mail about Mothers Day price reductions on the Viking Opal 650. I then manage to talk myself out of going down there every day by telling myself that I won't be able to use all my bobbins, I'll have to get a new walking foot, it's electronic and new so maybe it won't like FMQ as well as my current setup, I won't get that much on my trade-up anyway and so forth. The last (and somehow least important) thing I tell myself is that I can't afford it. LOL!

Oh gosh I feel your desire for yet another new machine. I have no room for any more machines but I keep looking at them. I have to have a talk inside my head telling me not to buy. Really I cannot sew on all my machines at once, can I. Now I can be embroidering on 2 machines and sewing on another and maybe jump over to the serger and then use the coverhem so I can really use 5 machines at once but then I still have a few not being used. But Oh how I love buying new machines!!!

I'm glad you posted this. I too keep looking at new machines, even though I just bought one not long ago. It's really sick, :D. I guess I'm just lusting for a larger harp. Which is ridiculous, because like you, I'm really fine with what I have! Really. Well now, I'm not so sure about that 90" long quilt I'll be making, but I have no idea how I'll quilt that anyway.
