I need to make bitty baby booties and it says to cut the elastic to the measurement of the ankle but I don't know what that is. I don't have a doll and there isn't a measurement that I can find online. Any ankle sizes for me?

This is for a Bitty Baby doll, not for a little human baby? I'm sure I know someone who has one. I'll ask on the doll boards and edit this when I know.

Yes, the doll, not a live one! I have one of those but no doll.

I received two answers: 3 1/4"" and 4 1/3". Obviously, one of those is wrong. I know that Bitty Baby wears the same size shoe as a Galoob Baby Face doll and is more or less the same height, and I have one of those; her ankle is 3". One person suggested looking at the circumference of the bootie at the ankle and cutting the elastic 1/4" to 1/2" smaller. The great thing about a vinyl doll is that you're not going to be cutting off circulation, but of course you want the booties to stay on, too. I'll keep asking around.

making of baby outfits are a difficult task because little things take more time and need concentration.

There are Bitty Babies that are baby dolls and there are Bitty Babies that are todler dolls. That could account for the difference in size.
