I used to buy this japanese-made Fusible Bias Tape at my favorite local fabric store. Sadly the owners retired & closed the store.

My package says it's distributed by Prof. Sewing Supplies out of Seattle.

Does anyone know where I can buy this wonderful stuff online?

It's so nice to be able to fuse it in place, and then sew it. Much easier than trying to hope your bit of ribbon or other stabilizer stays where you want it while you're sewing it between two pieces of fabric.

I think this is what you're looking for. It's available in straight or bias. It's the one I use all the time. Love it!

Which one (bias or straight) do you use to stabilize neckline in silks (satin, chiffon) ? For me it make sense to use straight but I think I am wrong. I never used tapes..

Joyce Murphy sells the Japanese brand, both straight and bias. They are woven, and the same ones Judy Barlup used to sell. (Judy's web site now directs you to Joyce ... they are very good friends)

Irina, I'd choose the bias tape.

I've used Pellon Easy-Knit tape successfully as a fusible stay tape and it is available at Jo-Ann's if you have one nearby.
