I've had the machine for some years now and last night for the first time I broke out the walking/even feed foot to sew some tweed... OMG! Why did no one ever tell me about this before?! The layers fed evenly from start to finish! This has been a quest of mine ever since I started sewing and collecting machines. The Pfaff IDT was a big disappointment for me in this endeavor. The Juki with its box feed was good on most fabrics, but it wasn't perfect, especially on loosely woven fabric like tweed. Enter the walking foot (which came standard with F600) and I've never been so excited over an attachment!

I was sewing my first knit/jersey childs dress a couple nights ago and happened to see your post first so I put on the walking foot and the dress turned out fantastic. Thank you.
