Cat - Oooooh, I love the swirls and the jeweled plume. Maybe you can just get a yard of a couple of them? Geez, everything happens at once it seems.

Hmmm... two new machines and waaaa-ing? No no no, you are still glowing from the Pfaffulousness of it all! Pet your machines and remember that nobody can own ALL of the beautiful fabric in the world. Keep petting the machines... but somehow I don't think I'm helping here. Maybe grad school daughter can get a fellowship!

Thanks for the link!

they are very pretty I love the name. But no money either. I brought a charm pack of the Tonga Sugar and a charm pack of bali snaps. got them yesterday. I do have a $50 cert for Joanns I got for mom's day but plan to use that as I need things.

Edited to add this place has some very nice sale and clearance items

The jeweled plume was my FAVORITE!

I just can NOT buy anything for a bit. I am not going to let myself use my savings account to buy fabric! I keep telling myself this.....

You are absolutely right. I LOVE my machines, and I DO have a nice bit of fairly recently acquired fabric to use.

I'm just waaa'ing about the MAJOR extreme expenses coming in my very near future.....really uses up ALL my available funds for my sewing stuff.

Ooooo NICE mom's day prezzie!

That's a good idea to save for those things that come up that you need.

I always use present $$ for something I want that I would normally not get for myself. My MIL INSISTS if the $$ comes from her that no NEED buying is allowed, only want.

I LOVE her!

I'm not looking, not, not, not! I'm not even a quilter. Even of a pot holder. This does not tempt me at all.

Now that I'm done with that little helpful visualization of not looking (?). I'm about to do something that even my own mother would say- Wendy! Don't be a Pollyanna!

Warned ya- Cat, you have such good reasons, great reasons to have tight to zero sewing funds. 2 new machines and cars, a daughter marrying and another headed to grad school. Eeeeooo- you were warned!

Here's a thought- for every birthday, anniversary, special day because they love you, July 4th, Labor Day, Indigenous People's day- well you get the message, tell all your friends and family to give you a gift certificate to your fave sewing places.

OK PR People, at some point, we may have to do an intervention and just send Cat some fabric we've been hoarding? Not to cast aspersions on anyone. As dear mom still says- Wendy! That behavior is most unbecoming.

I'm trying to collect a few charms for the upcoming applique project. The charms are pretty much big enough for the shapes I need. In between projects I want do a major fabric re-organization. One thing nice about charms also is they fit nicely inside a quart ziploc bag. I also need batting for Sprouts. I so hope to be sewing that top together by the weekend. Only two more blocks to sew around shapes.
