In this PR group there are apples, pears and oranges of body shapes--all fruits. Recently, I lost 12 pounds and found my waist again. While looking in the mirror, I noticed I am long waisted, and my body represents a new body shape--butternut squash. Anyone else with me on this?

Yes! I find it impossible to buy anything that already has a waistline. I have to add 4" in length to any bodice I sew.

LOL. You cracked me up. Good thing I was not drinking coffee.

What is the difference between an apple and an orange? My waist is 3 inches larger than my hips, but most of it is at my high high/belly button. So what am I? My shoulders and hips are just about even, but I don't have much of a waist. Normally I would say rectangular shaped, but that does not fit your fruit/veggie catagory.

I am a Quilter at heart. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors. Recently I have discovered I enjoy doing applique. I love making pictures. Using a sewing machine is much easier than counted cross stitch or oil painting for me. I enjoy landscape quilting as well. I am working on my first applique project in the spring of 2014.

How about banana? Kiwi fruit? Strawberry? Blackberry? (No, I think I won't go there--all those bumps...)

Hmm. A shape like a short toothpaste tube squeezed lightly in the middle takes me out of the vegetarian realm all together.

I also recently lost a fair amount of weight, so I am rather a bit of a fruit salad: honeydew melons on top and watermelon thighs. Oh, and I guess the cellulite is rather blueberry-ish.

Changma -that is excellent!!

I describe myself as a more pyramid shaped Mr. Michelin (the tire cartoon for Michelin tires): Roll after roll after roll.

I like your description much better( except it makes me hungry) and I have a 2 large muffin tops/rolls under my honeydew melons before we even consider the watermelon thighs.

Maybe my shape can be a variation of yours: "Continental Breakfast".
