Hey, so I have the opportunity to buy a viking 464 with, a very cool looking table. I believe this viking was made before Husqvarna owned the name, so I believe this was made by Eaton's? Correct me if I'm wrong. But that seems to be pretty much all I can find out. So if you know anything g about it, that would be great. It just looks great.

Also, I was wondering what that slide out piece is for on the lower left of the table. I looks like some kind of drawer , but not sure.

Thanks
Matthew

Welcome!

The slideout is very dark in the picture but it looks like there are pegs? for holding spools of thread. Many of the vintage desks had spool holders in drawers and such.

This appears to be a Japanese-made Eaton Viking machine as it is not a Husqvarna Viking. If everything is in working order and it's cheap you may want to give it a try. Is there a manual to show where to oil?

I found a manual for it online. And the machine is only 75$ so it seems pretty reasonable. It's all metal construction, and from the looks of it theres a knee pressed foot control inside the desk, very convenient.

It sounds like you're really attracted to it, which is a big reason why we end up buying a certain machine...or two...or more. Let us know if you bought it and how it works out!
