I hope one of the featherweight fans can help me...
I'd like an invisible zipper foot for my 1951 FW 221 - Can I just use a generic low shank invis zipper foot, or do I need a special kind of foot?
I know that when I search on ebay, many vendors say their feet are suitable for FW; I just want to check in with the experts who aren't trying to sell something!
Many many thanks!!

i've heard this site is reputable, but i haven't bought anything from them yet (just got my featherweights yesterday)! LOL.

Yes, a generic low shank IZ foot should work. To be safe, after installing any generic foot, I hand-turn the wheel to make sure the needle doesn't strike the foot - not all generics are created equal.

My fav foot for installing invisible zips is a 5 or 7 groove pintuck foot.

Thanks to both of you for the info and help! I'll feel much more confident now ordering a generic low-shank IZ foot (or pintuck foot - that's an interesting idea!)
