I am new and wanted to post my question - I need help! First of all, can I possibly attach a picture to a post? My issue is that I have to attend my niece's wedding at the end of the summer. The dress that I have is sleeveless and I hate sleeveless! I am thinking of making a short jacket to go over the dress. I like this style but have no idea what it is called. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a better description so that I could find an easy pattern (I haven't sewn anything in about 50 years)
Here is a picture of the jacket I would like to duplicate - if only in style.
Thanks!
Lorrie

I would ordinarily call it a bolero. A couple of possible patterns off the top of my head:

McCall's 6559 view A

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?

BTW - that's really pretty.

Shrugs were very popular a few years ago. You may still be able to find a pattern by reviewing the websites of the major pattern companies, or looking through their catalogs where you purchase your sewing supplies.
