I've been wanting to make some summer pants out of some stretch twill. I noticed Denver Fabrics has it in a lot of colors. They also have a fine line stretch twill. What is the difference between the two?

Twill has a diagonal thread pattern to it that you can see if you look closely. I'm pretty sure fine line twill will be made of thinner-gauge threads and have a dressier look due to the diagonal micro-ridges being smaller and finer. It may be lighter in weight than regular twill--probably will be--you could see if they give fabric weight information.

A finer twill will be better able to carry off finer blouse fabrics as coordinates than a heavier twill.
