I have a really nice fitting pair of RTW trousers. I copied the back crotch measurement using the method Stephanie Lincecum teaches in her crafty class.

So all I have to do is align the grain lines of the patterns and match the cutting lines, trace off and that is it? Or do I align them on something other than the grain line?

The curves look so different, it is making me doubt myself. But the back crotch as it is seems to not have enough ease to be comfortable I think.

I am using pattern 2700 Amazing Fit, and used their formula to figure out what size to cut. But since I am 6' tall that could throw things off. According to the pattern my total crotch length doesn't exist in their realm of measurements, but my back side does. Go figure.

Ah, for the pre kiddo days when all I had to do was add length at the bottom.

Thanks!A

Kimber

Have you thought about contacting Stephanie with your question?

You could add to the crotch length. I'm 5'2 but have a long crotch length.
