Hi, I popped on here after a while away for a look around and it dawned on me some of you might be interested in something I'm involved with as we have a dwindling number of places left.
On the weekend of 24th/25th August I'll be helping out a conference on corsetry in the historic and beautiful (think Inspector Morse and Brideshead Revisited) Jesus College, Oxford. We'll be hosting workshops on draping, fitting, embellishment, fashion illustration as well as Q&A sessions and so much more. We've got antique corsets from the Symington collection to look at and handle and a talk on them from Sarah Nicol. We have a banquet with after dinner speaking from a top London Fashion week corset maker and overnight accommodation as well as food and refreshments in the College. It's all very exciting.
More details are on organiser Julia Bremble's Sew Curvy site and on Facebook
Oxford Conference of Corsetry
I hope it's of interest to some of you.
