It's been a long time since I sewed on one, but I believe it is kind of odd and unusual. The whole area that holds the bobbin, I think I remember it swings out from right to left and when that happens, your bobbin ends up actual sitting in the "swung out" part, when it is open like that. I had no manual and I was able to see that, so I just swung it out. Can't remember if an actual latch or not there, but maybe. Since it sews nice now, if you get that open, putting one back in afterwards, would be just a reversal of that.

Maybe if you actually want to put up a photo of that area, I might be able to remember what to press on to make that happen even. Or someone else might just know.

Thank You so much. These bobbins and the way the machine threads are pretty unique. Love these older machines.

I think credit to the person who made the free manual available on PR would have been a very kind gesture.

That's why I posted the link to the PR topic.I hope people who need that manual thank the generous and kind person themselves. He took the time to scan the manual and made it available for free in that topic.

Anyone who has a need for this manual can thank David.

I just provided a short cut to the manual.
