I have an original, computerised Viking 400 that I've had for close to 20 years. It's about 5 years since I last sewed anything (that was a silk christening robe for my Godson) and I've been watching YouTube videos to refresh my knowledge. I saw some Viking feet reviewed in videos that I wanted to buy, and found a great supplier in Scotland who does mail order. I was SO excited when they arrived in the post, and gutted when 4 of these "universal" feet wouldn't fit my machine. I discovered my mistake when I read the handbook - I needed a special accessory ankle. Luckily the wonderful people at Pemberton's in Sterling had one in stock and I eagerly anticipate its arrival on Tuesday. If you have a Viking maching that falls into group 5,6,or 7 you will need an accessory ankle. In the UK from my supplier it costs 9.20 plus P&P. I also bought their Gold Bobbin membership for 10, which gives 10% off all purchases. It can make quite a difference if, like me, you buy the Interchangeable Dual Feeder foot.
