These are the fabrics we brought home from our trip to Hawaii. DH and I went on a cruise ship, so we visited 4 islands. The store was on the big island and the town was Hilo.

I'm going to try to post them a different way, so let's hope it works. If not, I will edit this post and continue. I will post 5 per time.

Hmmm. Well, 2 worked. I'll try again. I don't get it, but I'll keep trying to post pictures from my photo album.

I really enjoy quilting. I love to play with fabrics, colors and pictures. I recently discovered how much fun applique can be. As I love making pictures, landscape quilting can be challenging, but seeing the picture come to life is so rewarding.

More pictures. The first is a made up quilt in the store. The 2nd and 3rd pictures are the outside window displays. We bought the two lower fabrics for DH to have a quilt. Both the sea life ones are FQ's and I can order more if I need it. I bought 2 FQ's of each for his quilt.
No, wait a minute. I did Not buy any fabric with giant dolphins in it. I wish I had, but did not see it.

I need to resize more pictures and then send to my photo album. I'll be back. Let me know what you think of them.

More pictures. Some are fabrics, and some are from Hawaii.

Honolulu harbor from the balcony of our ship, deck 10.

Maui from the ship, as we get closer to the harbor.

Under the Pacific Ocean, in a sub, at least 85 feet down and maybe 105 feet down. Sorry, don't remember which.

Enjoying our trip? These are only Maui. I have a couple from Hilo, a few from Kona on the ship (as we did not get off) and still others from Kauai. (we want to visit Kauai again for a week next trip. I hear they have a quilt store...

Beautiful fabrics and pictures! Thanks for sharing. I hope to get there some day. Do you have a quilt design in mind?

This is the pattern I bought to make a quilt for my walls. I plan to use some of the fabrics I posted in the last couple of posts. I have started cutting some 2 1/2 x 16 strips for my Trip Around the World quilt and I will add some Hawaiian fabric to that one. The size of mine will be 40 x 40 or something like that.

The Hawaiian quilt (the pattern shown above) will have 6 inch squares and should be fantastic to look at. I hope to work it on this winter. I need to finish the Trip one first.

We have 3 or 4 yards of this dark purple/blue fabric. I plan to use it in at least 2 quilts.

This is my husbands fish and turtle quilt fabric. Add the lava flow to it. No idea of binding, or backing yet for his quilt.
