Iím making a dress for my granddaughter (McCalls M6017) with a seersucker fabric. The pattern has three pieces, a bodice, a middle piece, and a bottom ruffle.
The ruffle is the length I want and the middle piece is too long (by about 4Ē) so Iím going to make my length adjustment on the middle piece.
The ruffle will be the correct length once I hem it but, if I hem it before I ruffle it, will it hang correctly once the dress is complete? Thanks

You can hem if first, it's lots easier when the piece is flat.
My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.
