Hello all, I want to make Simplicity Cynthia Rowley 2406 view D, I plan on making this with a cotton fabric. The problem I have is that with the back slit, under garments won't work so I want to line the front of the bodice just to be sure I'm not exposing myself. The pattern calls for a facing in the front as well as armhole facings, my question is how do I turn these into a lining that ends at the waist? I plan to line it with a cotton material as well. Thanks

What if you just duplicate the pattern pieces and line them the same way you would a vest?

I would use the front pattern for the lining and the facing for the interfacing. I would consider leaving the hem free.
