Any tips for successfully using the Hem Guide Type 2? i have had no success in getting the sliding guide to slide over (on top of) the hem to hold it in place. When I slide the guide to the right it doesn't go over the hem, but instead pushes the hem to the right. The demo video makes it look so easy! Am I missing a step in set up perhaps?

When I bought my Janome Coverpro I added this hem guide and never got it to work. I fold and press hems and use some double sided fusible tape to hold the hem in place.

I usually lift up the tip of the sliding guide to help it over the edge of the fabric. after that it works fine. At least it does for me

Hi Nancy, JH and Kevin...thank you for your tips. I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing having to lift the sliding guide up.
