I'm looking for a pattern that I probably used in 2000. It made the cutest camisole/ tank top. Here's what I remember:
*The pattern was made by Simplicity or one of their offshoots.
*At that time, I was pretty tiny and I was one of a few patterns that went down really small. It may have been a junior pattern, but I know it wasn't a child's pattern.
*The pattern had several other things you can make with it.
*It had a button, I think in the back, but I didn't have to make a button hole. I had to make some sort of loop for the button to go in.
*It was gathered at the top. There was elastic. It looked really cute, because the fabric bunched up and then draped.
*It had spaghetti straps.

It was really the perfect tank top and I'd love to make a few. It worked great with the $1 calico cheapy fabric. If anyone can remember a pattern like this, I'd be so happy.

It looked like style A here but it wasn't for stretch knits and was made by Simplicity. If I can't find it, I might try this pattern!

Your description reminds me a little of this McCalls pattern but it doesn't have the button loop and it's not Simplicity. I hope you find the pattern you're looking for, or something close enough to reproduce it.

Getting warmer! It didn't have a separate part for the bust and stomach. Those don't work well with my body type. I found a Kwik Sew pattern that's similar (Kwik Sew 3610) but I really liked the button loop on the Simplicity one so I'm going to keep looking. Thanks!
