I am going to draft my own pattern for a circle skirt. I know..really simple stuff! However...I want to add pockets. I have one side seam, and one side seam zipper.

In order to add a side seam pocket on the zipper side...this is what I'm seeing in my head:

One side of the zipper will be sewn to the skirt back. The other side of the zipper will be sewn to the pocket, and the pocket facing will be sewn to the skirt front?

Is that making any sense?

You don't even need to put a zipper in if your pocket is going to be in the side seam. You can extend the back waistband so that it holds the back pocket bag along the waist and add a buttonhole and button. You don't complete sew up the pocket bag along the curve so that it will open wide enough to get over your hips. Side seam pocket
