No not more enabling. I went to Joann's this morning. Did pretty well with coupons and what I needed.I got my binding fabric for Sprouts, 2 bias tape makers for half off, some green marbled fabric for stems and some family guy and Simpson fabric for 1/2 off. But then I went into Office depot next door. I want some graph paper and to see if they had any vellum. Well the first two people didn't even know what vellum was then the next salesperson sent me right to a clearance sale. I made off with 4 pads of 11 x 17 size 50 sheets each for $2 each, normally now wait for it.......$15.99 a pad!!! Vellum is great of tracing things you want for appliques, paper piecing foundations. I just feel like a thief lol. Joanns had a Carol Doak package of 15 8 x 11 sheets for $13.99.

Yay you!

I've been shopping at my favorite art supply site, dickblick.com this morning. I try to gang my purchases there for a good special. They are almost always running some kind of special at least 20% off for purchase of X amount, but the X amount varies a lot. Today's special too good to pass up so I have been "click, click, click" all morning

Me too = Well the Joann's part! 40% off coupon, and of course a load of stuff on sale, but I got ball point sewing needles for my 1st adventure into sewing Knits - Then saw some Remnants 50% off ohhhh and tried to match the backing quilt thread I am THREE rows from being done ugh it's close, but will NOT be exact as the 1st two spools

Did you see they also had the AccuCut on a big sale? Boy did I stare at that... then walked away! Oh and Batting BIG sale *sigh*

OMG your Office Depot trip was a STEAL!!!

Way to go and thanks for not enabling -- but I looked anyway! It was your Subject-- Deal of the Day got me again

QW, there is an old saying, "A fair exchange is no robbery." It sounds to me as if that is exactly what it was, a fair exchange. They freed up shelf space for something which will move faster, and you got a bargain. Everyone wins, what could be better than that?

It's a clear paper. I first used it when my dealer talked me into a Carol Doak set and in the set was this clear paper. It's perfect for paper piecing. At the time I was doing a block with a embroidery design in the middle so had to place it just right. And for tracing pictures of something you want to make an applique out of it's perfect.
