Is this class different from the Contemporary Quilted Jacket Class? Is it more detailed or just different format as this is video?

thanks,

Loreen

Hi Loreen,
The PDF file is the same, yet this one has a lot more video material and longer videos. The videos are as follows:
1. Introduction with jacket previews and materials needed.
2. Choosing fabric and lining
3. Pattern layout, cutting, & creating 3-piece sleeve.
4. Interfacing Finishing Raw Edges and cutting lining.
5. Quilting the lining.
6. Sewing the jacket body.
7. Sewing the jacket body with plaids.
8. Hand sewing the lining.
9. Sewing the sleeve vent.
10. Attaching the sleeves and covering the shoulder pads.
11. Trim ideas including crocheting your own, Finishing the Edges, and hemming.
12. More trim ideas, custom covered buttons, adding weighted chain, closures, and pockets.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Angela

I have heard that a Chanel style jacket is special in that it fits close around the arms-eye. If this is correct will there be some fitting info in this class? Thank you

that is true, but there will not be fitting in this class. That is why I started the jacket muslin fitting class - which does cover that issue. The class board was getting so full of fitting questions, the work on the jackets was getting clouded out. This has worked out much better. Let me know if you have any more questions,
Angela

You recommend Vogue 7975 or Kwik Sew 3258, but neither of those matches the white jacket with the black trim that is featured on the class promo picture. The lapels are different, are instructions for that alteration included in the class? If not, is that pattern available somewhere? That's a great jacket and I'd love to make it. Thanks.

Am I able to download the videos so that I can rewatch as many times as it takes to understand each step?

I also would like to know if the jacket shown in the photo (white with notched lapels) would be covered in this? That is the type of pattern I've been trying to make. Butterick 5926 (unlined, fitted) http://sewing.patternreview.com/Patterns/60337

I primarily need detailed instructions on notched collars and linings even though this Butterick is unlined.

The butterick pattern I referenced looks just like the one in your class listing, but the trim is different.
