What are everyone's favorite recipes for smoothies?

I haven't tried this but it looks good.

Have you tried the Skinny Shake before, it tastes like a Wendy's frosty:
3/4 cup Almond Milk
about 15 ice cubes
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1-2 Tbsp unsweetened Cocoa powder
1/3 of a Banana
Blend.

I like a simple smoothie....banana, Greek yogurt, and splash of skim milk. Sometimes add a tablespoon of peanut butter to this in blender for more substance before tennis.

Frozen banana is like delicious guilt-free icecream in a shake, even better than fresh banana. Love it!

Banana, strawberries, a small amount of orange juice, and a combination of blueberries, raspberries, or cherries, or melon... almost any fruit that is on hand. DH likes them sweeter and adds honey.

2 frozen bananas (broken into chunks), frozen raspberries, fresh or canned peaches, yoghurt (plain), orange juice or milk, splash of vanilla. Really delicious! I used to add a tablespoonful or so of dried ground dates for some sweetness, but no longer feel the need for it. This makes enough for 3-4 good-sized glasses.

I use all these ingredients plus frozen kale and collard greens, celery, sprinkle of cinnamon and squirt of honey, tablespoon of ground flaxseed and goji berries and mint! I just got a NutriBullet and have one of these every day. I highly recommend adding mint, the taste is very refreshing.

Got a Nutribullet too! Love it. some combos bananas with cantaloupe/melon/
passionfruit/strawberry.... slowing adding greens into the mixture... refreshing....

Frozen kale and collard greens - wow - just fresh fresh???

I do everything possible to avoid these greens when I buy them. Maybe if they were frozen I couldn't get away with, oh, heck, they've gone bad and then don't have to use them.

I do pack my Nutribullet with spinach, always, along with fruit, esp. frozen berries, maybe carrots and celery. Yes, frozen banana, any juices around.

And avocado - delish.

What are the pros and cons of the Nutribullet? I can't seem to get my smoothies thick in the blender? My SIL has one, but she tells me it leaks a bit?

Here's a link with smoothie and other blender recipes Vitamix It's 29 pages and there's also talk about blenders. You don't need a Vitamix. So, warning- after reading the thread, one may follow you home too!

My Green Smoothies use all green things- Kale, honeydew, grapes, lime and often frozen fruit that is not on the red side- then it turns brown. So mango, peaches and fresh banana, pineapple, etc. Some water and ice cubes.

Just bought a redder tinged kale and will try with strawberries and other things in the red/orange spectrum.

I just made crunchy peanut butter with golden flax seeds and a touch of salt. Going fast around here.

Besides getting the Vitamix at Costco, I bought The Smoothies Bible by Pat Crocker. Lots of nutrition info and recipes.
