Hi there,

I wanted to put a chiffon trim piece on my project - but I wanted the edges to have a frayed / raw edged look to them. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thank you for your help!

I remember once reading about someone doing something similar, she cut strips of fabric on an angle between the bias and the straight grain. The strips frayed a bit but didn't unravel completely. I'm not sure of this works, never tried it myself.

Cutting the strips on the bias works well as the edges won't keep fraying. You can use a small brush to fray the edges.
