I got a New Home Combi 10 off Craigslist today.
The lady was asking $20 dollars, but it was missing part of the cord! So the lady GAVE it to me! Good thing as the hand wheel will not turn and the is only one presser foot. I am going to bring it to the authorized Janome dealer tomorrow and give it to him for cannibalizing.

I still have my New Home combi I bought New Years ago and it still works. It's a great machine.

Oh Yikes!! I doubt your dealer will want to cannibalize it! they are very unique and not plentiful either. It could be put back right and the feet are inexpensive to buy. You sure you wouldn't like to have a nice play and get to know it? My dealer would love to get one for its collectibility and i'm certain he would not use it for parts unless it was just completely shot.

I think it was SHOT! Very sad, as even a novice like me could tell it was once a heck of a machine. The wheel was frozen and you could see rust on it and IN it. All so, parts of the free arm were missing. The guy was real honest (as other customers could attest) he said it was a real loss. Well made machine but was not taken care ofPeople think something well made doesn't need maintainence and care. What a loss!
