Hancock's batiks on sale

Boy this is tempting. Especially the $2.99 ones.

Ok why do they advertised 1/2 prices when you have to buy a yard minimum. I know $6 a yard for batiks is a very good price. Just advertise it that way.

That's Hancock's of Paducah in Paducah, KY not the Hancock Fabrics chain.

H of P gets lots of my hard-earned money I rarely buy anything from them full price they have lots of sales if you are willing to wait.

I used to get my dyeing fabric from them but they don't do bulk discounts on my favorites any more.

I suspect it is because their minimum purchase for regular fabrics is a half a yard and so the system is set up in half-yards.

Lots of places insist on a one-yard minimum for sale fabrics so I guess it is easier (for them, not us) to just say 2 half-yards required rather than one yard.

I have to confess I've bought quite a few 1/2 yard cuts of beautiful batiks from Handcockspaducah!
