Is there a difference?

I have both of these sprays, but I have been using the Sulky KK2000 first and now it is almost gone. Then I have read about the 505 causing more issues with gumming up the needle, so I have avoided using the 505. Does anyone have experience with both of them and do you see a difference?

Thanks

505 stays until the item is washed. Sulky did have two formulas; one dissipated and the other had to be washed out. Their ad now reads the same for the can with blue cap as for the can with the green cap. Read the ad to see which you would prefer.

I use Titanium coated needles and this eliminates gumming. The coating keeps the needles cool and this stops the melting of the adhesive of the sprays or the sticky back stabilizer.

I have definitely used KK2000 and believe I have used the 505. I absolutely love the KK2000 and have had no issues with it gumming the needle.

Since I am not 100% sure that I was using the 505 I will only say that the product that I used did gum up the needle and everything else.

In any case I highly recommend the KK2000.

Hi Grandma52!!

I don't know where you currently get your KK2000 or how much you are spending but in case you didn't already know....I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday and noticed that they sell KK2000 (I've never noticed it before but I've never looked for it at HL either). Hobby Lobby sells it for $15.99 but when you use their 40% off coupon it brings the price down to $9.59 (plus tax). This is the cheapest I have found KK2000 for (online or in stores). Joann's used to carry KK2000 but has stopped carrying it in the store and only offers it on their website. I believe Nancy's Notions sells it for a reasonable price but once you add shipping then of course the price is higher.

I hope this helps!!

I also recommend the KK. Althought I don't find it lasts as long as the 505 - I typically don't have items that need to stick longer than one embroidery session anyway.

Just don't ever, hit that Sulky KK2000, with water, before the glue has really air dissipated instead, that is really icky, and probably would only happen to any one person only once! The only problem I could see even using both the 505 v.s. the Sulky one and even all mixed up or back and forth together in a project, is if you forget about something like that.
