I am looking for a long flowing infant Christening dress pattern from 1967. I think it was a Simplicity pattern. The front panel of the dress had a design to be hand embroidered. Can anyone help me with the pattern number? and where I can get a copy of it?
I made this for my son who will be 46 years old this year. Each of his 5 children have been baptized in this dress as well as my daughter. It has become a family heirloom. I would like to have the pattern to complete the memory package.

I looked on the vintage patterns wikia. No simplicity christening gowns from the era, though it might have been from a layette set. Their records might not be complete, either.

If, by chance, it wasn't a simplicity, this is a 1965 McCalls pattern with transfer.

These are the Christening patterns

and these are the layette patterns

Here is a gigantic google search page. Maybe your pattern is in it somewhere?

To Everyone who has responded. I have been able to identify the pattern. It was dated 1965 and was McCall 7718. I do very much appreciate everyone's help. Now I just need to find it.
My plans are to have it framed in a shadow box and hang it next to the framed towels used during each grandchild's christening. Someday when the dress is retired, it too, will be housed in a shadow box and be hung beside everything else.
Thank you. Sharon
