Here is a really great story on Lorene Carnes, who was in art school 72 years ago and dreamed of being a fashion illustrator. One of her friend's daughters works for Robert Kaufman's company, and saw her art school portfolio. She took the sketches to work and they are making them into print fabrics.
Dreams do come true!
