I was just ordering a new sewing machine online, and on the checkout screen, there was a space for entering a coupon code. I did a Google search for "coupon codes dealerName" and found quite a few. The best one took $100 off any order over $1000! My machine was $1049, so I was able to get it for $949 instead. Such a deal!
I've gotten coupons for amazing deals on a number of online purchases this way.

And, if you shop online for supplies a lot (I do, I live in a rural area) be sure to check out Ebates:
NAYY, but I have been using it for YEARS, Joanns and Fabric.com both participate and it works just like they say - you just use Ebates to get to the store you want to shop at, and once a quarter they send you a check. An actual check, and all you have to do it start from the Ebates site when you buy something online. You end up at the merchant's website, absolutely no different than you would have had you go there directly.

Living Social and Amazon Local have decent deals too. Living Social has had sewing and knitting classes, Amazon Local has had supplies.

I'd much rather have PEACE than pieces...
