I been looking to get an embroidery machine and the Brother DreamMaker XE VM2200 Embroidery Machine seems interesting to me. Is this a good machine? Is $3800 okay price? To high? All the info I can get will help! Thanks

Well, now I want to know what you PM-ed. I'm curious about an answer to the OP's question.

Pretty straight forward question, so why all the secrecy.

Many brands and models are already listed under PR's Sewing Machine Reviews.

You can try to bargain by asking for a lower price or more freebies, but if there is no competition, the price is what it is.

Lyndsay,

I looked at our local dealers yesterday, and the price you have been quoted is very good.

Me too.. sigh.. It was and still is hard to find pricing on some of these models.. I know I still haven't seen many references to the pricing of the PINK Brother Laura Ashley machine..

They go for 5k in so cal so thats a good price for my area, but prices vary with location. I have the combo, and love the embroidery features. the pen makes it super easy to position, the positioning light makes it easy to tell where you want your design to start. it is very nice

$5k? Where in SoCal are you? I've been looking at the Babylock equivalent (Spirit) and $5k is way more than what they're going for in my area (Los Angeles). Maybe because there are more dealers here, but not sure. There is one "big" dealer with about 5 stores I think in SoCal that sells alot of Brother, but I wouldn't give them a dime....and that's all I would say about them. Anyway, the average I've seen or quoted is about $3800-4000. The combo goes for about $6k which is still a pretty good deal to me, considering it is almost as good as the Ellisimo or Quattro 6700.

You mean the Laura Ashley Isodore, right? Because 5k-ish is what they go for here.

I have this machine and paid less than $4,000 with a few bonuses, like a huge thing of thread, and embroidery designs, etc. I live in Washington state.

It's a great machine.
