Has anyone used an alternative printing source for downloadable patterns? I seem to have difficulty getting my patterns to print to size correctly and thought about using an outside source.
If you have used an outside source who did you use and how expensive is it?

I download to a thumb drive and go to Office Max and have the patterns printed on oversize sheets at 18 cents a sheet. Much cheaper than using my ink. Then again, the store is only 4 miles from home.

The last pattern I did was 36" x 48" and cost about $8.00. I thought it was well worth it not to waste my ink and the time to put it all together. I put mine on a thumb drive and have them printed on large paper at Staples.

Did either of you have issues with the pattern printing out correctly size wise? What I mean is ..... Did the test box print out to proper size?

I have good luck printing out .pdf patterns. I make sure when I select print, that I choose "actual size" NOT shrink to fit or anything else. Most .pdf patterns will have a little square somewhere that you should measure to make sure it prints out at the correct size. Find that page and print that one first to make sure you have your settings right.

I usually tape it all together, then trace the desired size onto pattern tissue as it is easier to work with it that way for me.
