This sounds like a great program that helps recent female refugees. For many of us, sewing is a hobby. But, for others such as these women, sewing is much more. It is a way to help them assimilate, gain confidence, learn English and learn a skill that can help them become self sufficient.

What a nice program. I looked at some of the items in their etsy store, and they look cute and well-made. I wish they had more access to ethnic prints that represented their countries of origin, which might bring more attn to their program and products. But as you pointed out, sewing together helps the women in so many other ways. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
