I like Red and White quilts - I LOVE star quilts. When I saw this one I wanted to make it but, I was scared that I could not do it - well, I decided to just do it.

And - here are my pieces.

Everything is cut - except the small inner stay bits. I want to have it finished for the 4'th. We will see. A new class starts monday.

I love your fabric choices. I also like the mixed beige/white backgrounds. Another winner, Portland!

I love stars too, and red-and-white quilts are a classic combination. I love your blocks and I am sure that your quilt will be just wonderful.

I found that strawberry fabric and nearly died. I love it that much.

I love a few novelty's sprinkled into a quilt. Im glad they make so many good ones!

It's going to be very cool Once I get my sewing room painted and a ceiling put in and the room put back together, I'm going to be doing a red/white star block as well. TreadleOn has a block exchange this fall for a red/white Evening Star block.

I can't wait to see your quilt top and I'm sure yours will be done well in time for the 4th Right now the only thing that's motivating me to keep on with the work that needs doing to the sewing room is knowing I'll finally be able to settle in there and sew :)

Oh, I love this! I may have to make one. What technique did you use for the flying geese?

Oh that evening star quilt is super!

I made the flying geese by sewing squares onto a rectangle and cutting off the triangle edges.

With Ironing the blocks are going together pretty slow. I might have finished 30 of them so far.
