Yes we are being a bit cheeky in our start up name - will get the attention we want and then ---maybe--- if the sexy seventies agree we will change to something else.

So welcome all PR members over seventy who want to join in our discussions. As you all know there are fitting problems that happen at every age so it will be nice to address some that are common in our age group - because we want to keep our sexy groove going - right?

Great idea! This should be interesting.
I am 74 (most people think I am not quite 60, I guess because my hair has not turned white yet) and 5'!", two style problems there!

I am 74 in August and was 5'0'....now 4'11". 3 of my Grandparents had snowy white hair which I had hoped to have in my 30ies. However, I seem to have inherited my maternal Grandmother's brown hair which makes up some 90% of my hair colour, just a streak of white which shows if my parting is on the Left but is covered if I part on the Right.
Looking forward to this thread, perhaps I will learn to post photos, not very confident with technology.
The new title is certainly eye-catching!!!!! not sure if it will encourage or discourage , time will tell.

Sure would like to be included in your group. Am 72 years young.. Have just started sewing (at 70 some, crazy, huh?) Sure would like to talk to others out there, with fitting problems and styles to wear at our age. Pretty, but not trying to look like a teeny bopper anymore..

I am just 70 years young, my father's family went grey early so I have white hear at eh front and dark brown at the back. I thought I would be silver all over by now, just like I remember my father's mother. Last November I bought a new Janome sewing machine so I need to keep sewing. I have a fabric stash and a pattern stash and I would like to do more quilting.

You would get more attention if you retitled it ''Forty Forever ''

I just turned 74 and have gone back to sewing after a bit of an interruption after kids were grown. Finally having a girl grandchild has lured me back (had 6 grandsons first). I am 5'6'' and wear a RTW 12 or 14. Love pretty fabrics. Am intrigued with all the new machines and notions and classes but don't even have a serger (thinking about it). Am kind of intimidated by all the new technology but would love to join your group.

Great idea but am going along with the theme of "Fifty and Fab" and "Sixties and Retied" both groups on PR - maybe a"Forties Forever" group could be another addition?

Miss P: We do think of ourselves as being "forever forty"!
Well, maybe fifty. My elder daughter is 46 but when I look at her I see 21, so that would make me 51 and I honestly forget sometime and think I'm that age. Mother Nature has graciously bestowed upon us the ability to forget the unimportant.
