lots of talk about the PCP, but not much on the PCS. it seems folks prefer the PCP. your unbiased thoughts? Thanx.

Just a guess but I think the PCS costs quite a bit more. PCP is a great machine for the money.

There are a couple PCSs who hang out on the PCP thread. The PCS has more embroidery editing features and is Pfaff's current TOL embroidery machine; the PCP is their TOL sewing machine, which has optional embroidery.

The cost difference is quite large, and I know my Pfaff dealer does most of her sewing and embroidery on her floor model PCP, not her CS. She just loves the PCP.

The PCP is only 1year younger than the CS and both stitch superbly well, from what I hear. I went with the PCP as I wanted a sewing machine that could embroider as an "accessory", rather than an embroidery machine.

I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life!
And Baby (Enlighten serger), Victor (BLCS), Rupert (Pfaff 2023-knits expert) Ash (B350SE-Artwork), Kee (B750QEE-Panzy's BFF), Georgie (B560-Kee's baby sister) and the Feather-Flock!

Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you.

The PCS also has something called ActivStitch feature (you can read about it on their website) I love my PCP but I do know I was told that was one difference, but I didn't think it was worth another 4 grand!

I worked my way up to the PCS. I bought a used Creative Vision and liked it but it was really used and I was concerned it wouldn't last so I traded it for the Sensation. The Sensation is the best machine for anything you want to do. It's quick and sure footed. The book that comes with it is well written and easy to understand. The machine is worth every penny, but it is quite dear.
I love the way it embroiders any design easily.
The only thing that is annoying about the machine is the needle threader. I don't bother to use it and keep a tweezer handy. For that much money it should be perfect, but nothing is and that's the only complaint which is nothing.

i greatly prefer the buttons on the performance. the sensation has the soft touch buttons instead of the normal, raised ones. i DO prefer the lighting on the sensation because you can adjust it.

I'd have that needle threader looked at. I have a PCP and it's my first machine with a needle threader. Once I was shown how to use it smoothly it has been fool proof. Perhaps yours only needs a small tweak? Then your 1 and only complaint will be a thing of the past.

Thanks for posting as I know little about the PCS.

I didn't even LOOK at the Sensation, no need to tempt myself with something I'm just not going to get.

I am sure it is a wonderful machine and it does in fact sew superbly, but that's too much for me to spend on a machine.

I can still lust after it though......

I'm glad this thread was started. I purchased a CS recently and wondered how it compares to the CP. I've not had real time to enjoy this machine and have been self teaching. I finally have the time to take the guide classes. That active stitch tech. is the best. I've not had any snags, shreds, etc. with any embroidery thread. I use this machine for embroidery as I'm still using my fantastic old Pfaff 7570 for all other sewing.
