Ive made three red and white quilts.

While I dont see them as purely patriotic I do love them on the 4'th.

Have you made any patriotic quilts?

I jusy posted a pic of the red and white star quilt - so, Ill add one with George -- and make it fresh!

I remember the "red and white" quilt show a few years back in NY. I guess the book to commemorate that show is out now.

Lets have our own red and white quilt show!

Whoops, I found a few more -

That one - is a test piece for me. It was all raw edge applique. I used old scraps as batting and I had bought a new book on FMQ and used every quilting pattern in the book on the quilt.

And I made a Red White and Brown quilt for my Grandmother -

And I found this one -

I guess I have made more red and white quilts than I thought.

And - I see a range from the start of my quilting to now. Very interesting to see it all in one place. Anyhow - I hope to see more Quilts!

Love all of these! But especially the stars. I have not made a red and white quilt, still on my list. I adore red and white. I did make a tumbler quilt a couple of years ago that looks like a flag - but it's packed away somewhere from my move last fall. And I have another red, white, and blue star quilt top packed away somewhere too. Hopefully I will be able to finally have a place to get all those things unpacked in the next couple of months.

Great quilts! I've only made 2 quilts. One was a tulip pattern for my Dad and the other a pinwheel for my DD--neither one in red. Tell me about the bottom quilt. Are those circles? Did you applique?

The only red and white quilt I have is a redwork quilt that my great-great gramma made when my Mom was a little girl. It's not patriotic so much as it's 1930s Americana.

Love the quilts, but the dog really caught my eye as he/she looks a lot like mine, who is my best ever sewing buddy!

Okay, here's a picture of Gramma's redwork. Sadly, it's in really fragile condition. When we closed up Gramma's house, my sister and her idiot (now ex-)husband used this quilt and another (a 1930s Sunbonnet Sue) as packing fillers in a dirty U-Haul trailer. When they split out their stuff from mine, they shoved these two into a plastic garbage bag and used it to cushion the dining room table. I didn't find out until after they'd let the bag sit out overnight in the rain and they told me it was full of "dirty old blankets".

I've been able to stabilize it, but now I need to buy a good quilt rack and hang it where it will stay out of direct sunlight.

I really do love red and white! But I haven't made any just red and white quilts.

I made a black, gray, red and white one, that's as close as I've come so far to red/white.

What a BEAUTIFUL quilt! It's such a shame it wasn't recognized for the treasure it is, but at least you realize it and will properly care for it!
